Abstract
In view of the geometric issues of STL model and process planning of RPM,an optimizing model based on minimizing the step-effect,support area and production time is established.The three models are solved by genetic algorithm separately,and the synthesis satisfactory degree function is constructed using the linear weighted approach. Experiment shows that the method can effectively find the optimal building-orientation in RP.
