REASONING BASED AUTOMATIC PARAMETRIC DRAWING MANAGMENT SYSTEM

The theory and implementation issues of an automatic parametric drawing management system (PDMS) is discussed in this paper. To realize parametric drawing, first a template drawing is defined by sketching in AutoCAD,then a reasoning based automatic parametric method is adopted to create different part drawings for different dimension sizes from the template drawing. PDMS system can be used not only to build parametric standard part base, but also to build parametric part base for complex structure part.
