Modal Analysis and Design Optimization for Virtual Prototyping of Uplift Device of a Sugarcane Harvester

  • Initial modal analysis reveals that a few low order vibration modes have very little influence on the quality of sugarcane harvest,so it needs only to optimize the static strength of the global structure of uplift device with the first-order arithmetic,resulting in reducing the weight of structure by approximately 7%,while the working stress of the structure being kept lower than its yield limit.The optimized dimensions could be taken as the reliable reference for building the physical machine,and the lead-time of its development is greatly shortened.
