Construction of Product Modules Based on Process Similarity

  • To improve the rapid response ability,equipment utilization and production efficiency of manufacturing enterprise,a method of construction of product modules and analysis of process similarity is put forward.First,the process rules of parts among products are studied and analyzed,and fuzzy design structure matrix is used to create process constraints.The feasibility of process sequences is evaluated and verified based on optimization methods.Then,the process sequence model of product parts is analyzed,and the largest sub-set of similar sequences is applied to evaluate the similarity among product parts,which avoids the disadvantage caused by local dissimilarity.Finally,the dynamic clustering process of similar parts is established by the transitive closure method.As a result,this method has been successfully applied in the rapid response design of machining industry,and the efficiency of the product design is much improved.
