Freeform Feature Reuse Based on Hierarchical B-spline

This paper presents a freeform feature reuse method based on hierarchical B-spline technique.First, base surface is separated from geometric details by using the Poisson equation and a displacement vector field is obtained.Second, the displacement vector field is applied on the target surface via planar parameterization;Finally, hierarchical B-spline technique is used to refine the reused freeform feature.Experimental results are given to show the robustness and efficiency of the method.
