The Design and Implementation of a User Interface Management System (UIMS) Based on Event Model

This paper describes the basic ideas and characteristics of event model, and discusses the implementation of a UIMS based on the event model in UNIX environment. Data flow diagrams, system structure charts and library functions of interactive technique are described. The initial results indicate that the event model, which can use formal language and implement concurrency, has brilliant prospects for user dialogue.
