Customized Development of Document-View Structured Application Based on Pro/E

In order to avoid the limitation that only dialogs can be used in the customized development based on Pro/E, as well satisfy the requirement of customized development of complicated application systems, a method on how to develop document-view structured applications based on Pro/E through VC and MFC is proposed in this paper. Furthermore, the setting of the development environment, the structure and the running process of application programs and the key technologies in development are given in details. By giving an instance, this method is proved to be correct and easy to use. It also shows that the application systems developed by this method can not only interact with Pro/E seamlessly, but also hold a relatively independent interface. We may also see there is another advantage, that the powerful function of MFC and VC and plenty of MFC resource can be totally and easily used in the development of customized applications.
