A DECISION-BASED PROCESS MODEL FOR CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

  • Conceptual design is the early phase of a design process where most important problems are processed and decisions made. Currently it is poorly understood and has little technical support. This paper proposes a decision-based semantic process model for conceptual design. It is theoretically based on cognitive design studies, and hypertext is employed to realize the model. The paper details its organization, implementation, as well as further directions.
