  • This paper studies line extraction from grayscale document images.First,the grayscale image is converted into binary image using halftone technology.After skew correction,Hough transform is used to construct the structured elements,which in turn are applied to the hit or miss operator for mathematical morphology-based line extraction（MMLE）.
