An Integrated Product Process Modeling Method for Supporting Multidisciplinary Design Optimization

  • A process modeling method named design roadmap framework for supporting multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) of complex products is presented,considering some deficiencies of the conventional process modeling methods in expressing information of resources deploying and cooperating in multidisciplinary design process. For expressing all the relevant information in the design process,the main activities and cooperative relations of MDO are described to build the process model for supporting MDO. On this basis,a planning method of design process in MDO is proposed to reduce iterations,and a framework of integrated product design process for supporting MDO is established to realize process integration. Finally,the effectiveness of this method is verified with application of a design example in the multidisciplinary integrated system platform.
