Arbitrary Lip Deformation Driven by Bopomofo Text

Lip variation is an important aspect of facial animation.Aiming at studying lip animation easily and visually,we present a new lip LAP model which is controlled by 28 LAP parameters with the mouth shape drawn by Cardinal spline.The 28 LAP parameters can be obtained from every static viseme.We also present a method to apply the LAPs to any arbitrary lip spline,by firstly calculating "the unit of the LAP",then the new LAP of every viseme adapted to the arbitrary lip shapes,and finally driving the lip by Bopomofo text.During the lip variation,interpolation is used to realize the transition and at the same time we take into account the influence from the anterior shape of the lip to the after shape of the lip,to make the animation smooth and continuous.
