Intelligent Building Block Construction and Programming System Based on Progressive Layered Structure

  • In order to help children construct and understand interactive deviecs and their control logic,we introduce LinkBricks,an intelligent building block construction and programming system based on a progressive logic structure.The system includes a set of specially designed intelligent building blocks based on the LEGO Duplo series.By embedding wireless sensors and drivers in the blocks,children could freely build various interactive devices without being restricted by the connection wires.Beyond the physical construction kit,the system also provides a programming system based on the progressive layered structure.Children can create complex control logic by simple clicking and dragging on the graphical user interface.User experiment results show that the system could help children to quickly build a variety of interactive devices such as robots and IoT(Internet of Things)devices,meanwhile increase their interest in learning and understanding related knowledge of system,e.g.logic,control,and responses.
