Progress in Hexahedral Mesh Generation and Optimization

This paper summarizes the research progress of hexahedral mesh generation and optimization in the past decade.First,the new progress of hexahedral mesh generation,and the advantages and disadvantages of various methods are summarized,including the overall generation method and the decomposition based generation method.Then,the research status of hexahedral mesh optimization is summarized,including geometric optimization and topological optimization.Finally,the development trend of hexahedral mesh generation and optimization is briefly explained.
