TPMS-Based Porous Structures Modelling Driven by Pore Characteristic Parameters

  • In order to design a porous structural model that meets the engineering design parameters,a new approach of porous structures modeling driven by pore characteristic parameters and prepared by additive manufacturing is proposed.First,for the four common types(P/D/G/I-WP)of triply periodic minimal surfaces(TPMS),the influences of their mathematical parameters on pore characteristic parameters are studied and the mapping models between related parameters are established.Several TPMS porous structure design methods based on pore characteristic parameters are then proposed,including single design parameter method,multiple design parameter method and nested design method.Finally,the related engineering application cases are given and the Micro-CT test experiments are carried out.The experimental results show that the pore characteristic parameters of the designed model are controllable,the model samples prepared by additive manufacturing are affected by the process,and the precision of the model has a certain deviation.
