Abstract
Information presentation form of digital interactive interface plays a vital role in operators’task execution efficiency of information features search. This paper takes information features and presentation form as variables to conduct visual search experiments.Firstly, taking nuclear safety injection system as an example for experimental design, three hypotheses are proposed, that is,searching for information units with different levels of complexity, different shape features have regular changes in fixation/saccade and pupil size and so on.Secondly, the fixation/saccade time, path indicator and pupil diameter recorded in eye-movement experiment are compared and analyzed.Congruent effects on different levels of complexity of information, fixation time and pupil dilation are discussed. The experimental results show that both icon shape and information presentation form have significant influence on visual search. The fixation/saccade time and path can reflect the complexity of icon shape and the difficulty of information presentation.Pupil changing size and fixation/saccade indicators can be used as sensitive indicators of visual cognitive performance. From single icon-shape B to information block-shape A,there is a linear increasing trend with congruent effect. This conclusion reveals the influencing factors of information feature search.Congruent effects between pupil changing size and fixation/saccade indicators, important indicators of information presentation form, can be applied to future interface optimization design.
