An Adaptive Window-Selecting Method for Particle Image Velocimetry

The interrogation window was adopted with the same size in the particle image velocimetry （PIV）,which was only suitable for steady fluid field and with large errors.A modified method for general field was proposed in this paper.The current result was averaged as the estimation of next process.The size of the interrogation window was selected iteratively according to the correlation degree and the distributing thickness.At last,the standard particle images,were tested and the errors were analyzed.The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed method.
