A Method of Generating Feature Points for Cross-Sectional Contour Inward Non-Uniform Offsetting

A measuring technique of geometric accuracy for the cross-sectional contours based on their shapes and centroids is presented,and the feature points are generated according to the offset value of each segment of a cross-sectional contour.This method is especially suitable for producing the feature points of a cross-sectional contour with free-form shape,and it is verified by some engineering cases and experimentations,which shows that this method is useful and effective.
