利用多尺度小波变换的光度立体快速三维表面重建算法

Fast 3D Surface Reconstruction Algorithm of Photometric Stereo Using Multi-Scale Wavelet Transform

  • 摘要: 光度立体三维测量中,需要通过三维重建算法从二维梯度场重建三维表面深度.针对传统的三维重建算法如全局迭代优化算法,在高分辨率情况下耗时较长的问题,提出利用多尺度小波变换的光度立体快速三维表面重建算法.首先利用梯度场代替传统小波通道,实现多尺度Haar小波变换,得到一种改进的多尺度小波变换算法;然后将该算法应用于光度立体三维表面重建中,提高了三维重建的速度.实验结果表明:与传统算法时间复杂度均高于线性阶相比,文中算法的时间复杂度与梯度场分辨率成线性阶关系;该算法适用于从高分辨率梯度场重建三维表面,并具有误差较小、鲁棒性好的优点.

     

    Abstract: In the 3D measurement of photometric stereo, 3D surface depth is reconstructed from 2D gradient fields by reconstruction algorithm which takes lots of time in high resolution condition. In this paper, a fast reconstruction algorithm of photometric stereo was proposed by using the improved multi-scale Haar wavelet transform. The improvement was to replace the traditional wavelet channels with the gradient fields in wavelet transformation, which was applied in 3D surface reconstruction of photometric stereo to reduce time consumption. The experiments showed that time consumption of the proposed algorithm was linear to the resolution of gradient fields, while the traditional algorithms were higher than linear. Besides, more robustness and less error appeared in the results of proposed algorithm.
