A Review on Image Co-segmentation

  • 摘要: 文中对图像协同分割方法目前的发展进行了回顾和总结,根据协同分割问题的特点,对该问题给出了形式化定义;在此基础上,将协同分割方法分为单目标和多目标两大类,分别归纳和阐述了其中的主要方法,对各种方法在分割模型构建、特征选取、协同信息使用方式以及优化方式这4个关键问题上的异同和优劣进行了深入分析;最后分析了图像协同分割所面临的挑战以及未来的发展方向,为后续研究提供有益的参考.

     

    Abstract: In this paper, the current image co-segmentation methods are reviewed and summarized. According to the characteristics of co-segmentation problem, the formal definition to the problem is given. Consequently, the co-segmentation methods are divided into two categories: single-object based co-segmentation and multi-objects based. The main methods of these two categories are introduced and analyzed. From the four aspects of segmentation model construction, feature selection, co-information usage and optimization method, we explore the similarities and differences between the methods, as well as their advantages. We further summarize the challenges and development directions of image co-segmentation for benefiting the follow-up studies.
