整体式立铣刀三维精确建模与软件实现

Accurate 3D Modeling and Software Implementation of End Mill

  • 摘要: 针对整体式立铣刀设计过程中存在结构复杂、尺寸繁多、三维精确建模困难等问题, 基于微分几何曲线、曲面理论和铣刀制造过程中砂轮与刀具之间的相对运动关系, 建立了任意齿距容屑槽截面线、等螺旋角和等导程螺旋刃线以及Gash面的数学表达方程;借助于UG二次开发技术开发了整体式立铣刀参数化设计软件系统, 实现整体式立铣刀三维实体模型的快速生成以及与CAE软件间的信息交互.实例结果表明, 所建数学模型可实现整体式立铣刀整体结构的快速精确表达, 提高了立铣刀的设计效率和设计精度.

     

    Abstract: Aimed at the 3D modeling problems in end mill design due to its complicated structure, varieties of size, a complete solution was suggested based on the differential geometric curve and surface theory and the relative motion between grinding wheel and cutting tool. Mathematical equations including arbitrary pitch groove section line, equal helix angle, equivalent lead spiral blade line and Gash surface were established.Furthermore, a solid parametric design software of end mill was developed.Rapid generation of the 3D end mill model and the information interaction with CAE software were achieved.Example results show that the established mathematical model can express the end mill rapidly and accurately, efficiency and accuracy for end mill design are improved greatly.
