适合于空间可伸缩编码的帧内快速算法

A Fast Intra Prediction Algorithm for Spatial SVC

  • 摘要: 根据空间可伸缩编码的特征, 提出一种适合于增强层的帧内快速编码算法.首先根据基本层和相邻宏块提出当前宏块的块模式选择, 并利用残差预测来加快编码速度;然后提出Intra16和Intra42种块模式的方向模式选择.在Intra16模式中, 根据宏块纹理来预测采用各种方向模式的可能性, 按照其从大到小顺序编码, 并结合残差预测来加快编码速度;在Intra4中, 根据基本层子块和相邻子块的方向预测当前子块可能的方向模式和各种方向模式的可能性, 并结合零块提前预测来进一步加快编码速度.实验结果证明, 与标准算法相比, 文中算法的计算复杂度平均降低了75%, 同时对编码质量和比特率几乎没有影响.

     

    Abstract: According to the characteristics of the spatial scalable video coding, a fast intra encoding algorithm is proposed for the enhancement layer.Firstly, according to the base layer and the adjacent macroblock, the current macroblock mode selection is proposed, and the residual prediction is applied to increase the coding speed.Then direction mode selection for Intra16 and Intra4 is proposed.In Intra16 mode, the texture of macroblock is applied to predict the possibility of each of direction mode, and the encoding is carried out according to the value of the possibility in a decreasing order, combined with the residual prediction to accelerate the encoding speed;In Intra4 mode, the possible direction mode of the current sub-block and its possibility value is predicted according to the base sub-block and the adjacent sub-block, combined with early zero-block detection for a further improvement on the coding speed.The experimental results show that the computational complexity of the algorithm is reduced by 75% on average compared with the standard method, with only negligible coding loss and bit-rate increases.
