Tumor Deformation based on Force Interaction of Mucous Forceps in Nasal Skull Base Virtual Surgery

  • 摘要: 目前还没有针对粘膜钳力交互的颅底肿瘤形变研究, 粘膜钳作为鼻-颅底手术的主要工具之一, 研究其虚拟仿真对鼻-颅底虚拟手术系统提供技术支撑. 首先, 基于CT重建颅底脊索瘤模型, 参照实物建立粘膜钳模型; 其次, 根据碰撞点与三角面片的位置关系进行精确碰撞检测; 然后, 以碰撞点与三角面片顶点的距离为比例将外力分配到顶点上; 之后, 基于Voigt模型模拟肿瘤形变, 采用4阶龙格-库塔法求解动力学方程; 最后, 基于Geomagic Touch设备与弹簧-阻尼器模型实现力反馈. 实验所用脊索瘤模型有2 601个顶点, 在CPU i7-9700K, GPU 1660Ti环境下的实验结果表明: 形变效果符合软组织的粘弹性、应力-应变非线性与应变滞后性, 形变帧速超过60达到实时性要求, 17位医师的问卷调查也获得了较好评价.

     

    Abstract: At present, there is no research on deformation of skull base tumors based on interaction of mucosal forceps. As one of the main tools for nasal-skull base surgery, the research on mucosal forceps can provide technical support for nose-skull base virtual surgery system. First, we reconstruct chordoma model based on CT, and create mucosal forceps model with reference to real object. Second, we do accurate collision detection based on the positional relationship between collision point and triangle patches, and distribute external force to vertices based on the distance between collision point and triangle patch vertices. Then, we simulate the tumor deformation based on the Voigt model, and use the 4-order Runge-Kutta method to solve the dynamic equation. Finally, we use Geomagic Touch device and spring-damper model to implement force feedback. The chordoma model used has 2 601 vertices. The experimental results of CPU i7-9700K and GPU 1660Ti show: The deformation effect is consistent with the viscoelasticity, stress-strain nonlinearity and strain hysteresis of soft tissue; The frame rate exceeds 60 and reaches real-time requirement; The questionnaire survey of 17 physicians also get a good evaluation.
