Abstract:
In this paper,we propose a novel framework to estimate the dynamic illumination of a live video of outdoor scenes,so as to ensure the illumination consistency of synthesized objects in augmented reality. We adopt a model which represents an outdoor image as a linear combination of a sun basis image and a sky basis image.By exploiting the characteristics of the sun basis image, the computation of sunlight and skylight of every frame is then reduced to a minimization problem that can be solved in real time.Compared with previous work, our method requires no preprocess stage hence more suitable for augmented reality.
