Abstract:
A parametric modeling method for automotive headlamps is presented to investigate the influence of headlamp modeling on automotive aerodynamic drag, and guide the headlamp modeling design.Combining aesthetics and aerodynamics, three sorts of design parameters of headlamp modeling are summarized, based on analysis of the automotive forebody and headlamp modeling.A parametric design platform for headlamp is established.It is composed of the simplified model of flow field around automobile and the orthogonal experimental optimal algorithm.Numerical calculations and wind tunnel experiments of examples validate the parametric method and the effect of optimal combination of parameters.This method is of importance to enrich the automotive modeling design and headlamp design.
