分布式虚拟环境下的混合应用层组播传输协议

Hybrid Multicast Transfer Protocol of Distributed Virtual Environment

  • 摘要: 分布式虚拟环境下的数据传输具有多源、实时性和安全性要求高等特点.为解决在广域网环境下大规模分布式虚拟环境中数据传输问题,在分析IP组播和应用层组播的基础上,提出了混合应用层组播传输协议.该协议采用分组、分层思想,将IP组播的高效和快速性与应用层组播的可扩展性有机结合,实现在广域网中稳定、快捷的传输仿真交互数据;确定组、层结构并设计独特的路由构建规则来满足分布式虚拟环境数据多源的特点,以及对传输实时性的要求.最后通过实验对比,验证了该传输协议在分布式环境下的高效性和实用性.

     

    Abstract: Data transmission in a distributed virtual environment(DVE) is required to be multi-source feasible,real-time,and highly safe.Based on the analysis of IP multicast and application layer multicast,we propose a hybrid application layer protocol(HALM) for the data transmission in the large scaled internet based DVE.HALM combines the grouping and layering mechanisms to achieve a stable and fast transmission of the simulation data in wide area network(WAN),leading to high efficiency and performance of IP multicast,as well as plausible scalability of application layer multicast.We design a set of unique routing rules based on the determined structure of groups and layers,so as to satisfy the characteristic of multi-data source in DVE and the requirement of real-time transmission.Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.
