小型植物真实感绘制

Realistic Rendering of Small-Scale Plants

  • 摘要: 植物重建是计算机图形学以及虚拟现实领域一个重要的研究课题.鉴于植物的复杂结构,提出一种基于布告板类簇重现2种不同形态植物的方法.对于大叶片植物,采用基于图像的方法自动化重建与原植物几何结构较为符合的布告板类簇,并依据已有布告板绘制新视点布告板;而对稀疏针形叶片植物,利用激光扫描数据估计其空间分布,并结合有限视点的图像数据生成布告板类簇,在绘制阶段同样采用基于视点的布告板绘制模型.实验结果表明,该方法能够利用有限幅图像真实感重现植物原貌.

     

    Abstract: We present an approach to modeling two different types of natural plants with sensor data.The approach first constructs the geometric models of the plants.The models are composed of billboard clusters,each with billboards corresponding to all input views.The plants are then rendered by using view-dependent billboards.For plants with relatively large leaves,the geometric clusters are constructed by segmenting volumes recovered from images.The clusters for thin-leaf plants are built by subdividing the bounding boxes of 3D laser data.Results in our experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can capture the reality of natural plants.
