Abstract:
Since the effectiveness of the existing 3D CAD model retrieval algorithms based on graph matching in dealing with the CAD models with the blend features is not guaranteed, a novel CAD model retrieval method based on the blend feature recognition and filtration is proposed. At first, a rule-based recognition method is utilized to identify the blend features located in a B-Rep model. Then, according to the result of the recognition, the attribute adjacent graph of the model is reconstructed so as to eliminate the impacts of the blend features on the geometric and the topological information of the model. Finally, the sub-graph isomorphism algorithm is used to carry out the CAD model retrieval.Experimental results showed the presented method was effective in filtering the multiple types of the blend features, and the retrieval results met the needs of practice.
