头盔式虚拟环境中的人手姿态参数估计方法

摘要: 针对头盔式虚拟环境中的人机交互需求,利用敏感哈希索引把人手姿态跟踪问题转化为人手姿态数据检索问题,提出一种人手姿态参数估计方法.该方法通过提取手势图像的梯度方向直方图作为索引特征,利用改进的敏感哈希索引对姿态数据库进行检索,并将得到的索引结果进行时序一致加权,实现对无标记的手姿态参数(包括手指关节参数和手腕姿态参数)的估计.实验结果表明,文中方法能应用于实际的虚拟现实座舱系统,所得姿态参数对人手自遮挡存在一定的鲁棒性.Abstract: On the demand of hand interaction in the head-mounted display environments of virtual reality systems,a novel method of hand pose estimation is proposed in this paper.The proposed method converts hand tracking problem into a hand pose indexing problem through locality sensitive hashing(LSH).In this paper,the histogram of oriented gradients(HOG) is served as the indexing feature,which could be indexed by an improved multi-probe scheme with high efficiency.As the results of indexing are weighted by temporal consistency,the hand pose configuration including finger joints and wrist without markers could be estimated.Our experiments of applying the proposed method on a virtual cockpit system verify the its practicability and demonstrate its robustness on the hand self-occlusion problem.
