交会对接仿真电视图像TMO算法主观评价

Subject Evaluation of TMO Algorithm in Rendezvous and Docking Simulated Television Graphics

  • 摘要: 通过对实时渲染仿真交会对接电视图像的主观评价,指出调和映射处理(TMO)算法的修正是提高仿真场景逼真度的方法.基于交会对接仿真电视图像TMO算法应用,分别针对S-curve算法、自适应对数算法和Reinhard算法设计了基于静态图像对比的亮度调和因子评价实验和基于动态场景对比的算法应用距离段评价实验,并对实验结果的均值、标准差以及HSD值进行了计算与分析;上述3种算法亮度调和因子分别为6.0,0.6和2.2,依次应用于远距离,中、近距离和靠拢距离时仿真电视图像有最佳评价和显示效果.实验结果表明,采用同种TMO算法处理的交会对接仿真图像动态场景真实感效果优于静态图像;在交会对接不同距离段内,仿真场景需要采用不同的TMO渲染方法.

     

    Abstract: The fidelity of the simulated space scene could be enhanced through real-time TV graphics subject assessment, and adjusting parameters of tone mapping operator(TMO) algorithms. Based on the present study of the TMO algorithms used in processing the rendezvous and docking(RVD) simulated TV graphics, two experiments were designed to discuss about the application of S-curve algorithm, Adaptive logarithmic algorithm and Reinhard algorithm. The first experiment was the evaluation of luminance parameters based on static images, and the second experiment was the evaluation of TMO algorithm applied in different distance based on a dynamic scene. For making a comparison with each TMO algorithm, the average, the standard deviation and the HSD of the subject evaluation experiment were calculated. The results showed that the simulated RVD TV graphics was most similar to the real video when a luminance parameter 6.0 was used in S-curve algorithm to render the far distance region, 0.6 was used in adaptive logarithmic algorithm to render the middle and near distance region, and 2.2 was used in Reinhard algorithm to render the closest distance region. The experiments result arrived at a conclusion that the dynamic scene was better than the static image when the same TMO was used to processing the RVD virtual scene, and the virtual scene should be rendered by different TMO algorithms based on different distance regions in RVD mission.
