Abstract:
High-quality computer graphics is increasingly used by mobile-devices.Compared with PC platforms,graphics on handhelds has to contend with limited energy supplies,limited memory bandwidth and lower computing horsepower.Nevertheless,images must still be rendered at high quality with good performance on mobile devices.This survey of mobile graphics processor describes the current state of research and development in the field,presents analysis of various rendering architecture including tile based and immediate mode.We also survey acceleration methods for rending data flow computation,and low power design methods.Finally,some of our views about mobile graphics hardware are presented.The future development and the new challenges on mobile graphics hardware are discussed.
