Abstract:
In order to solve the machining rough design problem in model-based definition(MBD) technology environment,this paper studies the method for creating MBD rough model based on feature recognition.Firstly,the constituent elements and model requirements of MBD rough model in machining process design are analyzed.Then,the attributed-face adjacency graph of the part model is generated,which holds simple feature,volumetric feature and surface feature based on the classification of their machining characteristics.Simple feature and volumetric feature can be recognized according to the attributed-face adjacency sub-graph and will be inhibited with feature-complement method and half-space method.At last,the surface feature on the model entity is suppressed according to the given machining allowance.The maintenance method of 3D manufacturing annotation during the rough design is also researched.The target of MBD rough model design is achieved.
