Abstract:
In order to improve the authenticity of the solid-liquid coupling, an interaction method with surface tension is proposed for fluid with surface tension and moving solid based on the material point method. Firstly, the material point method is used to simulate the fluid. After constructing the implicit surface of the Level Set and resampling the surface particles of the fluid, the continuum surface force model is used to calculate the surface tension of the fluid. Secondly, the free surface of the fluid and the solid-liquid contact surface are located by grid marking to make surface tension calculation more accurate. Finally, different background meshes are used to store the velocity fields of fluid and solid respectively, and the impulse is used for collision calculation to solve the inherent adhesion phenomenon of solid-liquid coupling in the material point method. The experiments demonstrate that solid-fluid coupling method with surface tension can effectively show the details of the simulation.
