A Scene Processing Method for Fluid Simulation

  • Scene processing is crucial in the transformation of a scene model into computable boundary condition in fluid simulation. In this paper, we present a novel scene processing method for fluid simulation. Our method is designed to covert 3D models into computable boundary condition while improving the processing efficiency. In our approach, fluid oriented semantics are defined by taking into account the principles of fluid computation. Based on the semantics, an optimized scene graph is constructed and used to achieve expected results efficiently. Finally, we apply our method to fire simulation as well as fluid animation. Experiments show that the proposed scene processing approach can be applied to fulfill the requirement of fluid simulation with improved efficiency.
